Student Feedback
It was such an interesting talk that the 40 minutes flew by. I want to learn about various aspects of the world through interactions and communication with people, and the idea of accepting differences really resonated with me. I feel inspired to take bold steps, even if they seem outlandish.
I was able to hear such an enriching story. After my study abroad experience this spring, I developed an interest in languages. Listening to Tanaka’s talk made me feel a little more excited about the uncertain future. Although my academic level is not yet on par with the university I aspire to attend, I am determined to pursue my goals wholeheartedly. Actually, I will make it happen. I tend to be negative, but I will work hard not to be defeated by that.
I was amazed by the decisiveness and initiative born from the desire to do something different from others, and I want to emulate that. By not fearing failure and gaining various experiences, I can create opportunities to understand myself better. I want to value this approach and expand my potential, including in my career choices.
It was my first time hearing directly from someone working internationally, and it was very intriguing. I also aspire to work globally without being confined to Japan, so Tanaka’s insights were very helpful. I realized that, like Tanaka, it’s important to follow my own path rather than go with the flow. I’m glad I got to hear about Tanaka’s diverse experiences. Thank you very much.
There aren’t any people around me who are entrepreneurs, and since I am also aiming for a private humanities university, I felt a strong connection with Tanaka’s experience, which greatly boosted my motivation. Especially in terms of communication, although I am not very good at speaking English, this talk gave me the push I needed to look abroad and challenge myself.
